These works grew out of an exploration into the color blue, which spoke to me in regard to the ambiguity and uncertainty of our time. During the first winter of the pandemic, I also was also reading essays addressing desire and loss*. For me, blue became a metaphor for what can never be possessed––for making peace with the longings in my life.
